Insert YuJa Videos in Blackboard Ultra Activities
Modified on: Mon, Jun 9 2025 4:10 PMEmbedding YuJa videos into Blackboard Ultra is simple and can be done in any text box or editor within Announcements, Discussions, Assignments, Tests, and Course Documents.
Before proceeding with the steps below, please make sure you have uploaded or recorded your media to the YuJa. Here are some helpful resources to assist with the requirements:

There are two ways to embed YuJa videos:
1. Embed Using 'Insert Media from Web'
Requirement: Get your YuJa video direct link. Click here on How to Get Your YuJa Video's Direct Link.
Steps:
- In a text box, click the plus (+) button.
- Select Media.
- In the pop-up, paste your YuJa video link into the Media URL box. Be sure to add Alternative (Alt) Text for accessibility to describe the video content for all users.
- Click Insert to embed the video.
2. Embed via YuJa's Media Chooser
Students can now embed YuJa videos in their Assignments, Discussions, or Tests where a text box is available.
Steps:
- In the text box, click the plus (+) button and select Content Market.
- Click on YuJa Media Chooser - VCSU.
- Go to the Media tab.
- Search and select for the video you'd like to embed.
- Click Insert.
- A pop-up will prompt you to either keep the original video title or change the display name. Adjust the name as needed, then click Insert to add the video to your content.
