Welcome to the VCSU Software Download and Support page for Windows and Mac. Here you’ll find links and instructions to help you download and install the software you need for your courses and campus work.
ArcGIS Pro

How to get it: Ask your instructor for the download link/license code.

Typical path: Instructor provides an ArcGIS Online invitation or a MyEsri link → sign in with your VCSU email → download ArcGIS Pro Desktop.

Heads‑up! ArcGIS may prompt for .NET 6.0.5 Desktop Runtime(see below).
.NET Desktop Runtime (required by some apps, e.g., ArcGIS Pro)

If prompted by ArcGIS Pro: Install .NET 6.0.5 Desktop Runtime (x64).

Otherwise (new installs): Install .NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime (x64).

Check first:If you already have the required version, you don’t need to reinstall.
Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client

Download from: [Campus VPN/IT portal link].

Install: Run the installer, accept defaults.

Connect to:
vpn.[yourdomain].edu (or the host your IT provides).

When to use:Required for off‑campus access to internal systems (e.g., Perceptive Content).
Perceptive Content (ImageNow)

Current version: June 2024 client.

Download from: [Perceptive Content installer link].

Before installing: Disconnect VPN, uninstall older versions if instructed.

After install:Reconnect VPN and launch; first run will ask for server settings (provided by IT).
Respondus (LockDown Browser / Monitor)

Download link: Use your course-specific Respondus link in Blackboard or from [institution page].

Important: Do not download directly from respondus.com; use the campus-licensed installer so it points to VCSU’s Blackboard.

Monitor (webcam) use:Follow instructor directions; test setup before quizzes.
SPSS

How to get it: Ask your instructor for the license code or download location.

Install tips:Choose the version your course requires; during install, select “Authorized user license.”
VLC Media Player

Why use it: Reliable playback for most video/audio formats and DVDs.

Download from:videolan.org or your managed software center.
Adobe Acrobat Pro (Enterprise License)

Access method: Sign in at the Adobe portal with your VCSU credentials (SSO).

Download/Install: From Creative Cloud desktop app, choose Acrobat Pro.

Note:If prompted to start a trial, log out and back in with “Company or School Account.”
